What you save

Boelong stores your account email, the people and dates you enter, interests, notes, gift records, reminder preferences and your account timezone. Enter only information you have permission to keep; avoid sensitive information about other people.

How the features use it

These details power your private account, gift keyword matching and reminders you enable. Supabase provides account authentication and database storage, Vercel hosts the website, and Resend delivers reminder emails. Account and delivery services process information needed to provide those features.

Basic service statistics

Boelong records signed-in recommendation requests, batch changes and product-link clicks with an account identifier and timestamp. These records do not include person names, interests, notes or merchant URLs. Authorized administrators can view aggregate usage, account registration and verification details, and reminder delivery status to operate the service. The admin console does not display your saved people or private notes.

Optional journey statistics

If you allow optional statistics, a random first-party browser identifier lasts 30 days. We record the first homepage visit and start action, and can link these to a newly registered account in the same browser after sign-in. Administrators see aggregate setup counts. This measurement does not record names of people, interests, notes, full browsing history or IP addresses in its analytics table. Browser journey rows are removed after 90 days when new measurement events are processed. Declining does not affect the service. You can change your choice in the statistics controls below; turning it off removes this browser’s stored journey when the request succeeds. Account-level setup milestones remain part of service statistics.

Browser storage and Private space

Sign-in cookies keep your session. Choosing “Not for them” stores hidden gift IDs for that person in this browser; you can restore them on the gift ideas page. These choices do not synchronize across devices. A homepage draft is stored in this browser for up to seven days when you continue to sign up or log in. Private space hides people from the Everyday view; it is not a separate account lock. Anyone signed into your account can open it.

Your controls

You can edit person details and gift records, archive gifts, and pause reminder emails in reminder settings. Archiving is not deletion. Product images load from merchant image hosts without sending the page referrer or your saved preferences. These hosts can receive normal image-request information, such as your IP address. Merchant links open external websites governed by their own policies; Boelong does not attach your saved preferences to those links.
